Engineering Manager - Manchester (Hybrid)
£90,000 + Bonus + Benefits
The Role:
If you want to lead meaningful change in a fast-evolving product environment, this Engineering Manager role offers the chance to make a real mark. You’ll guide a cross-functional engineering team, delivering high-quality software at pace while helping embed modern engineering practices across the organisation.
The Transformation:
The business is deep into a major digital transformation, moving into a modern digital business. After migrating to their own proprietary platforms in 2024, investment has accelerated to support a product-led, Agile way of working. They need leaders who can continue this shift, uplift delivery maturity, and strengthen engineering culture.
What You’ll Lead:
*An agile team of Developers and Test Engineers.
*Drive delivery of the team backlog, ensuring quality, pace, and sustainable ways of working.
*Partner with Product to balance feature development, tech quality, and operational excellence.
*Own the team’s technical direction, aligning delivery with wider architectural goals.
*Champion modern engineering and QA practices across the lifecycle, you build it, you run it.
*Coach and grow team members, managing performance and shaping a strong team culture.
What You Bring
*Experience leading and coaching modern agile engineering teams.
*A metrics-driven mindset and strong understanding of best-practice engineering and QA.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
*Background in C#/.NET or modern JavaScript frameworks.
*A passion for improving ways of working and driving cultural change.
