Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team on a fixed term basis, supporting the Payroll Manager with accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple payrolls. This is a hands on role for someone who can manage deadlines and keep things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process weekly payrolls, CIS and Umbrella payments
*Manage starters, leavers, and payroll records, including HMRC checks and P45s
*Calculate and process statutory payments (sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption)
*Handle deductions such as Attachments of Earnings, court orders, and CSA
*Process holiday pay and respond to payroll queries
*Produce weekly and monthly reports, reconcile HMRC liabilities, and support audits
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation
Skills & Experience:
*Experience with UK PAYE and CIS payrolls
*Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and Auto Enrolment
*Confident using Excel (lookups and pivot tables)
*Ability to calculate manual tax, NI, and pensions
*Excellent attention to detail and discretion with sensitive data
*Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
