Job Description:
SEN Teacher – Full-time
Are you looking to join a Trust that truly values your professional development and places staff well-being at the heart of its decision-making?
We are excited to announce opportunities for SEN Teachers within two newly established provisions. Both schools operate within a single site community, bringing together a wealth of experience and expertise to serve our local area effectively.
One provision is an Alternative Provision, offering education for up to 115 students in Years 7–11. Students benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum, including vocational qualifications and traditional GCSEs in core subjects. Our aim is to provide clear pathways to further education or employment.
The second provision, catering for young people aged 11–16 with primary needs in SEMH and related areas of SEN, such as ASC and communication difficulties. The school is expanding to 72 places supporting many pupils who may have been out of school for some time and who need ambitious, dedicated teaching and support staff committed to both their emotional and academic development.
We are seeking a team of SEN Teachers who can teach a range of subjects. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in secondary settings and the ability to teach up to GCSE level. Above all, we are looking for highly skilled, flexible teaching staff who can work collaboratively.
This role is suitable for experienced SEN practitioners, primary teachers, or secondary subject specialists. Professionals with extensive experience in SEMH are strongly encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will:
*Be a qualified teacher or ECT with experience in SEN, primary, or secondary education (mainstream or special).
*Have the subject knowledge and classroom practice to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, ideally with a specialism in maths or science.
*Be committed to motivating learners, challenging and supporting them to achieve their potential.
*Be child-centred, organised, resourceful, and proactive.
*Have a desire to continually improve their teaching and classroom practice.
This is a full-time, position on the teachers’ pay scale, open to UQT/ECT/MPS/UPS + SEN allowance.
