The Role:
The role of the area manager is to manage a team of Store Managers, across a group of retail locations within East Midlands. This role is focusing on the wellbeing, performance, and development of each store and its team. You will also be ensuring that all stores reflect the brand, operate with customer excellence, commerciality and meet operational & stock targets.

Key responsibilities of the Area Manager - East Midlands role include:
*Deliver and exceed sales and profit targets across all stores within the area.
*Lead the development of business objectives and budgets, working closely with Store Managers to implement effective plans and strategies.
*Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and customer satisfaction across all stores.
*Monitor and manage store financial performance, identifying opportunities, resolving issues, and maximising returns from available resources.
*Implement store layouts and strategies aligned with divisional sales plans, ensuring execution of seasonal and promotional initiatives.
*Identify opportunities to grow store profitability and provide feedback to Head Office on wider business opportunities, including potential new locations.
*Ensure optimal staffing levels to maximise sales performance while maintaining store standards within budget parameters.
*Control operating costs, minimise shrinkage, and manage controllable expenses to protect overall profitability.
*Ensure full compliance with company procedures for cash handling, stock control, and store security.
*Recruit Store Management in partnership with HR, aligned with business and store requirements.
*Oversee the induction, training, and ongoing development of Store Managers in line with company guidelines.
*Maintain safe working and shopping environments in compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company procedures, including risk assessments.
To be successful in your application for this Area Manager - East Midlands position:
*Ideally having 2 years + of experience as area, regional or district manager, field-based experience (Please note this role is looking after between 20-25 stores) so field experience is essential
*Ideally having experience in within the retail, High Street background where apparel experience will be highly desirable
*Experience with working with different store format - FP/Outlets/Travel concession etc is highly desirable.
*Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal, written, and IT communication abilities.
*Results-driven and detail-oriented.
