Head of Upper School – SEND School near Sevenoaks
Rebuilding Lives Through Education
An inspiring opportunity has arisen at a specialist SEND school near Sevenoaks for a passionate and experienced Head of Upper School. This leadership role is central to supporting students with diverse and complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them thrive in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the Upper School provision, including offsite education.
*Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust safeguarding practices.
*Champion positive behaviour and restorative approaches across the school.
*Mentor students with barriers to learning and promote the 4Rs: Respect, Relationships, Resilience, Responsibility.
*Collaborate with multi-agency teams, parents, and carers to support student progress.
*Oversee staff development, tutor programmes, and celebration events.
*Support transitions, post-16 pathways, and contribute to whole-school improvement.
