Commercial Insurance Broker – SME
Renewals-focused | Independent Broker | Great Culture
An established independent commercial insurance broker is looking to hire a Commercial Broker to manage and develop a general commercial SME portfolio.
This role suits someone who enjoys owning client relationships, handling renewals, and working in a close-knit, people-first business rather than a corporate environment.
The Business
*Independent UK commercial insurance broker
*Operating for over 30 years
*Broad general commercial SME focus
*Some exposure to mid-market clients
*Team of around 13 people
*Family-run, supportive, and well-established
The Role
You’ll manage your own book of SME commercial clients, with a strong emphasis on renewals and client servicing.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing renewals for SME clients (typical premiums up to c. £2,000)
*Handling MTAs and client meetings
*Day-to-day broking and insurer liaison
*Maintaining and developing long-term client relationships
*Managing your own book of business end to end
Package
*Salary up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
*Bonus / commission structure
