Accounts Payable Administrator
£28,000 + Excellent Benefits

I am currently working in partnering with a long-established, values-led organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator into a stable and well-regarded finance team.
Founded over 70 years ago, this international organisation combines strong commercial discipline with a genuine purpose. It is well governed, people-focused and known for long employee tenure and a supportive working culture.
You’ll report directly to the Financial Controller and join a close-knit team of seven, taking ownership of the accounts payable function within a well-structured environment where processes are clear, workloads are manageable and quality is prioritised over firefighting.
This role will suit someone who values stability, balance and purpose, and enjoys being trusted to manage AP end-to-end.
About the role:
This is a broad accounts payable position with responsibility across the purchase ledger and expenses.
Key responsibilities include:
*Full ownership of the purchase ledger
*Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
*Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving queries.
*Managing weekly payment runs (BACS and international payments)
*Processing and reconciling employee expenses
*Maintaining supplier accounts and handling statement reconciliations
*Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
*Supporting month-end close and ledger reconciliations
*Contributing to continuous improvement of AP processes and controls
Working pattern:
*Hybrid working: 3 days office-based / 2 days from home
*Flexible working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm / 9am - 5pm

*Proven experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role is essential.
