Our client is an established engineering business based in Birmingham who are seeking a CNC Technical Sales Manager to lead their technical sales team. This role WILL INVOLVE developing new business, managing and growing existing key accounts, and leading and mentoring the internal sales team. combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement to drive growth and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.


Responsibilities
You’ll take ownership of the sales function, shaping strategy, mentoring your team, and ensuring the business remains a leader in the field


*Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
*Drive business growth by managing enquiries, identifying new markets, and shaping sales strategy.
*Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through consistent aftersales support.
*Represent the business at exhibitions and supplier meetings, while collaborating across the wider organisation.


Skills & Experience Required:
*Proven track record in technical sales leadership, with experience developing high-performing teams.
*Strong commercial acumen and ability to design and deliver growth strategies.
*Managing a sales team
*Solid understanding of CNC milling machines
*Results-driven leader with the ability to balance strategic oversight with practical involvement.
*Proven experience in engineering sales
*Excellent communicator, confident engaging with SMEs and large corporates
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Understanding of long sales cycles within engineering environments
*Commercially focused, self-motivated, and results driven
*Comfortable working independently and travelling when required
