Job Description:
We are seeking a confident and customer-focused Neighbourhood Response Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our neighbourhoods are desirable places to live by maintaining clean, safe, and well-maintained environments. You will work collaboratively with various teams, residents’ groups, and external partners to deliver effective neighbourhood management and address any issues related to tenancy and anti-social behaviour.
*Location: Birmingham and Walsall area
*Job Type: Temporary 6 months
*Salary: £18.43 p/h PAYE or £23.34 p/h Umbrella
*Candidates will be expected to work from home and the office as well as travel across the local region, therefore access to your own vehicle is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:*Develop and deliver neighbourhood plans and local offers.
*Conduct regular estate inspections, prioritising fire safety and other risk assessments.
*Collaborate with local residents’ groups to enhance community facilities, activities, and events.
*Work closely with local partners, including safer neighbourhood teams and youth services, to address neighbourhood safety and anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues.
*Liaise with other departments to coordinate neighbourhood improvements and services.
*Conduct visits to customers in breach of their tenancy or lease agreements.
*Support vulnerable customers and assess their ongoing tenancy needs.
*Represent the organisation in court, provide witness statements, and conduct evictions as required.
*Perform property condition checks and assist with major incidents, including the decanting of tenants.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Proven experience in providing excellent customer service.
*Strong ability to deal with customers face-to-face and work with external partners.
*Experience in managing projects according to plans and targets.
*Excellent judgement and the ability to respond quickly to major incidents.
*Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in service provision and employment.
*Ability to travel regularly across the region and work flexible hours, including early evenings and occasional weekends.
