Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: West Derby, Liverpool
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time (including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins)
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our home in West Derby, Liverpool, supporting children and young people who may have experienced trauma, adversity, or complex life circumstances.
You will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stable environment, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and positive futures.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
*Act as a positive role model, offering emotional support, guidance, and boundaries
*Support with daily routines including education, activities, appointments, and personal care where required
*Implement care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
*Promote safeguarding, welfare, and the rights of children at all times
*Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals
What We’re Looking For
*A genuine passion for working with children and young people
*Experience in children’s residential care or a similar setting (desirable but not essential)
*Ability to remain calm, resilient, and consistent in challenging situations
*Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
*Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
