You will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely monthly reporting, supporting statutory requirements, and working closely with non-finance stakeholders to drive commercial understanding. Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
*Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and variance analysis.
*Produce year-end financial statements for multiple entities and support the audit process to ensure deadlines are met.
*Analyse capex vs opex spend and contribute to the preparation of board-pack schedules.
*Support changes and improvements within the financial reporting systems (including Sage X3).
*Assist with group reporting and consolidation activities.
*Provide hands-on support through year-end and audit preparation.
*Work closely with operational and plant management teams to improve financial literacy and drive cost awareness.
*Support the wider finance function on projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc tasks.
*Adhere to internal policies, contribute to a positive working culture, and deliver high-quality outputs within required timeframes.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
*Effective communication and collaboration skills.
*Part-qualified (ideal) or QBE Management Accountant with strong technical grounding.
*Experience working in a multi-entity or complex business environment.
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to break down and solve problems.
*Confident communicator able to challenge, support, and influence non-finance stakeholders.
*Comfortable operating in a high-paced, changing environment where processes are developing.
*Proactive, energetic, and able to manage competing deadlines.
*IT-proficient, ideally with experience in Sage X3 and modern forecasting tools.
