Interim Payroll Implementation Manager - Leicester based
£300–£400 per day | 3-month contract | On-site 5 days a week | Start: Immediate
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a new payroll system. This is a hands-on, on-site interim role, ideal for someone who has successfully delivered payroll system implementations before and can hit the ground running.
What you’ll do
*Lead the full implementation lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy
*Manage data migration, cleansing, mapping, and validation
*Configure system rules, workflows, pay elements, and reporting
*Oversee UAT, parallel runs, and issue resolution
*Improve payroll processes, controls, and documentation
*Train payroll/HR users and support go-live stabilisation
*Act as main contact for the vendor and internal stakeholders
*Ensure delivery on time, to scope, and to high quality standards
What you’ll bring
*Proven experience implementing UK payroll systems
*Strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes
*Excellent project management and data skills
*Ability to influence and work cross-functionally (HR, Finance, IT)
*Highly organised, detail-driven, and able to work at pace
Our client will be looking to hold a Teams interview asap, with a view to appoint immediately.
