Finance & Accounts Administrator, Ripon, £26-28K
Location: Ripon Town Centre
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000
Contract Type: Permanent | Fully Office-Based
Are you an experienced Accounts Professional looking for a stable, long-term role in Ripon? Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking someone with a solid understanding of accounts and bookkeeping to join their team.
Legal sector experience is NOT essential – if you have strong accounting skills and attention to detail, we want to hear from you!
About the Role
You’ll manage both legal cashiering and office accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting the preparation of management accounts and year-end financials. Full training on Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain and reconcile client and office bank accounts
*Accurately post receipts, payments, and transfers
*Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payroll
*Prepare VAT returns and statutory submissions
*Assist with monthly management accounts and year-end preparation
What We’re Looking For
*Strong accounts and bookkeeping experience
*AAT Level 3 (completed or studying) or equivalent practical experience
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

*Competitive salary: £26,000 – £28,000 DOE
*Hours: 9am – 5pm with 1-hour lunch
