Job Description:
EAC are supporting a growing accountancy practice based in Milton Keynes, specialising in accountancy, taxation, and business advisory services for small and medium-sized businesses.
Our Client are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 5 years+ experience within an Accounting Practice.

Duties for Bookkeeper:
*Manage balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, VAT, credit cards, payroll, CIS, intercompany transactions, loans, and other ledger items.
*Process bills, expenses, and supplier payments accurately.
*Oversee credit control and client communications.
*Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
*Support software integrations and maintain accurate bookkeeping systems.
*Assist with year-end accounts preparation.
*Review and quality-check the work of junior team members.
*Maintain and build strong client relationships.
*Offer solutions to client challenges and adapt to changing circumstances.
Ideal Bookkeeper:
*Minimum 5 years Bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice, including journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balance preparation.
*VAT knowledge: Confident in preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
*Practice experience: Proven track record managing multiple client accounts and meeting deadlines.
*Software proficiency: Strong knowledge of Xero is essential; experience with Sage or QuickBooks is advantageous.
*Attention to detail: Highly accurate and thorough in all aspects of bookkeeping.
*Client-focused: Enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional service.
*Problem-solving: Able to think creatively to resolve client issues.
*Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, able to explain financial information clearly.
*AAT Level 4 - Desirable
