Reed Accountancy is delighted to be supporting a collaborative and trusted business in the search for a Finance Assistant.
If you have a solid foundation in finance, strong Excel skills, and a sharp eye for detail, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your experience.
You’ll work closely with the finance leadership team, supporting accurate financial records and ensuring smooth, well-organised transaction processing in a professional and supportive environment.
Hybrid Working: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home
Location: Easily commutable from Bath
What you’ll be doing:
*Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payments
*Supporting customer invoicing, monitoring receipts, and following up on outstanding balances
*Reviewing and reconciling employee expense claims
*Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
*Supporting bank reconciliations, month-end, and year-end processes
*Helping with reports, budgets, and forecasts
*Providing admin support for audits and compliance
*Upholding internal controls and finance procedures
*Identifying ways to streamline processes
*Assisting with general office coordination and supplier liaison
What we’re looking for:
*Experience in a finance or accounts role
*Strong Excel skills
*Good technical capability
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong organisation and time-management skills
*Clear, confident communication
*Interest in (or willingness to pursue) a finance qualification - AAT/ACCA/CIMA desirable
*Familiarity with accounting software (advantageous but not essential)
