Freelance Setting Out Engineer - Commercial Project Exeter | Full-Time, Temporary | £40-£42 per hour (CIS)
Introduction We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer to join a busy commercial construction project in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a live site with a well-established contractor, with a strong pipeline of ongoing projects. The role is expected to run for a minimum of three months, with potential for extension.
The Role * Carry out setting out for groundworks, foundations, and structural elements.

* Interpret drawings and site plans accurately.

* Conduct surveys and checks to ensure works are delivered to specification.

* Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors.

* Maintain QA records and as-built information.

Requirements * Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on commercial construction projects.

* Strong knowledge of site surveying and construction methods.

* Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

* Valid CSCS card.

* Own setting out kit/equipment (total station, GPS, etc.) required.

* Immediate availability preferred.
