Job Description:
Finance Manager/Management Accountant Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Our client are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and support the Head of Finance in driving improvements, controls and reporting.
This is a hands-on, commercial role with real breadth - ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also contributing at a senior level.
What you’ll be doing: * Overseeing end-to-end finance operations
* Managing and supporting an Accounts Assistant
* Producing monthly management accounts with clear commentary (for internal and external clients)
* Preparing accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
* Completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparing payment runs and VAT returns (in-house and client-based)
* Supporting budgeting, variance analysis and ad-hoc projects
* Providing cover across the team when needed
What we’re looking for: * Strong all-round finance experience with excellent attention to detail
*Experience of producing end to end management accounts within an SME is essential
* Confident communicator who enjoys working in a small team
* Organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
* Someone keen to improve processes and add value beyond the numbers
