We are recruiting for a Site & Facilities Manager to oversee a UK-based facility comprising offices, chemical production laboratories, QC laboratories, and warehouse operations.

Following a period of site investment, this role has been established to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all buildings and critical infrastructure. The position requires a candidate capable of managing complex maintenance schedules and upholding rigorous safety standards within a regulated chemical environment.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the following areas:

*Infrastructure & Maintenance: Lead all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs. This includes the management of critical site utilities: HVAC, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), compressed air, power, and water systems.
*Compliance & Safety: Act as the primary lead for site safety and emergency response. Ensure full compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, specifically COSHH and DSEAR, while maintaining ISO certification standards.
*Contractor Management: Source, appoint, and manage external service providers. Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and oversee on-site work to ensure it meets technical specifications and safety requirements.
*Site Operations: Act as the primary key holder, ensuring the facility is secured and operational daily. This includes space planning, coordinating refurbishments, and supporting IT/warehouse requirements.
*Financial Management: Monitor and manage facilities budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring value for money on all maintenance and capital projects.
*Team Leadership: Provide direction and line management for facilities staff, alongside delivering safety-related training to the wider operational teams.

Your background:

*IWFM Level 4/5 or a NEBOSH General Certificate.
*Proven experience in facilities management within a scientific, laboratory, or chemical manufacturing environment.
*Working knowledge of COSHH and DSEAR regulations.
*Experience managing external contractors and multi-disciplinary maintenance projects.
*Proficiency in Office 365 and digital reporting tools for audit and compliance purposes.
*Full-time on-site presence is required, with a willingness to provide out-of-hours emergency support if necessary.
