Job Description:
Most data roles report numbers, this one shapes decisions.
This is a high-volume, data-led business operating in a complex, commercially driven environment. With multiple service lines, layered cost inputs and evolving pricing structures, performance depends on insight.
The CFO needs clarity, the Board needs accuracy, and the commercial teams need challenge.
This role sits at the centre of that.
The role:
As Data Analyst, you’ll take ownership of pricing, margin and performance analysis across the business.
This isn’t just dashboard production. It’s pricing ownership, margin accountability, and strategic influence.
The day to day:
*Own and enhance commercial reporting systems, ensuring data integrity and strong governance.
*Develop and maintain pricing tools, margin models and executive dashboards using Excel, Power BI and Power Platform.
*Deliver accurate, timely commercial reporting and performance insight to the CFO and Board, including monthly ESG reporting.
*Manage and implement pricing updates within billing systems, ensuring compliance with agreed commercial terms.
*Lead pricing model development across multiple service lines, ensuring models reflect true cost, operational risk and commercial reality.
*Conduct detailed margin analysis by customer, product and service line, identifying trends, risks and profitability opportunities.
*Provide commercial insight to support rate reviews, uplifts, cost pass-through mechanisms and surcharge frameworks.
*Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning through data-driven analysis.
*Maintain and monitor the customer contract database, ensuring structured review cycles and pricing compliance.
*Provide commercial challenge and financial governance support during contract negotiations.
*Review supplier and network costs, validate invoices and proactively flag commercial risk to senior leadership.
What are they looking for?
*Advanced Excel capability with strong modelling expertise.
*Deep working knowledge of Power BI and Power Platform.
*Experience operating in high-volume, data-driven environments.
*Proven background in B2B pricing and margin analysis.
*Ability to sense-check complex model outputs and translate findings into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
What’s in it for you?
*33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays, with the opportunity to earn an additional 5 days with service.
*Hybrid working.
*Health cashback plan and employee wellbeing support programme.
*Life assurance (2x annual salary).
