I’m working exclusively with a long-established boutique accountancy practice in North London seeking an experienced General Practice Manager to step into a key role within their close-knit team.
With the current General Practice Manager leaving, this is a fantastic opportunity for a true general practitioner to join a respected firm with long-standing client relationships and a supportive, personable working environment.

The General Practice Manager Role
This is a hands-on, broad-ranging General Practice Manager position ideal for someone who enjoys genuine variety and being at the centre of a small, well-run firm. You’ll take ownership of both technical delivery and practice operations, working with a broad range of OMB and SME clients across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Work
*Prepare year-end accounts for clients typically up to £2.5m-£3m turnover
*Prepare corporate tax, personal tax, and quarterly VAT returns
*Ensure compliance with FRS102 and FRS102 1A
*Utilise QuickBooks, Xero, and Digita for accounts and tax work
Practice Management
*Oversee day-to-day practice administration and ensure smooth workflow
*Maintain AML compliance and internal quality standards
*Manage client communication and support long-term relationships
Note: Minimal bookkeeping. No management accounts required.
General Practice Manager - What You’ll Need
*Strong general practice experience (qualification useful but not essential)
*Enjoys a hands-on role covering both technical work and practice management
*Confident working independently and taking ownership
*Comfortable in a small, close-knit team environment
*Communicates clearly and professionally with clients
*Organised, dependable, and able to keep the practice running efficiently
*Broad experience with OMB and SME clients across sectors
What’s On Offer
*Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 DOE
*Working arrangements: Full-time preferred (5 days) but will consider part-time
