The Role
This is a 90% audit position with 10% accounts and advisory work. You’ll run your own client audits, manage junior team members, and have regular client contact. No red tape. No layers of hierarchy. Just great work with great people.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead audit engagements for a broad mix of clients across diverse sectors
*Review and prepare year-end accounts (limited companies, partnerships, charities)
*Supervise and mentor juniors, both on-site and in the office
*Build client relationships, advising on improvements and system efficiencies
*Prepare corporate and personal tax computations (basic level with tax team support)
*Support Managers and Directors on planning, reviews, and reporting
*Occasionally work on ad hoc projects: forecasting, cash flows, due diligence
What You’ll Need
*ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
*Proven experience running audits start-to-finish in UK practice
*Confident preparing accounts and supporting junior staff
*Excellent communication skills and genuine interest in helping clients
*Tech-savvy with knowledge of CCH, Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
*Positive, proactive, and eager to grow
