Payroll Administrator (Part-Time)
Location: Liverpool City Centre (office-based with free parking)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible)
Contract: Permanent
Overview We are recruiting a Part-Time Payroll Administrator to manage a standalone, in-house monthly payroll within a stable and supportive finance team. This role would suit an experienced payroll professional looking for flexibility, autonomy, and long-term security.
Key Responsibilities * End-to-end processing of a monthly payroll for approximately 150 employees
* Payroll processing for both salaried and hourly-paid employees
* Reviewing and processing timesheets via a Time & Attendance system
* Managing starters, leavers, statutory payments, court orders and attachments of earnings
* Submitting RTI returns to HMRC
* Processing payroll payments through the bank
* Pension administration, including auto-enrolment and ongoing scheme management
* Posting payroll journals and supporting payroll reporting
* Assisting with year-end payroll activities
* Supporting the wider accounts function as required
Working Hours & Pattern * 24 hours per week
* Flexible working arrangement: 3 full days, or spread across 4-5 shorter days
* Fully office-based role
About You * Previous experience in an in-house payroll position
* Confident managing payroll from start to finish
* Comfortable working in a standalone payroll role
* Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Well organised with the ability to manage deadlines
* Confident working closely with finance and HR colleagues
