I’m working with a boutique accountancy practice seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join their specialist Financial Services team. Build niche expertise in Wealth and Asset Management whilst completing your ACA qualification.

The Audit Semi Senior Role
Audit Work (80-90%)
*Lead sections of audit fieldwork on Financial Services clients
*Perform substantive testing including complex financial instruments and regulatory capital
*Conduct risk assessments and contribute to audit strategies
*Prepare high-quality working papers to ISA standards
*Build client relationships as day-to-day contact
*Exposure to UK and international group structures
CASS & Regulatory Audits
*Assist on CASS audits for FCA-regulated firms
*Develop understanding of client money and custody asset regulations
*Test controls over client assets and regulatory compliance
Accounts Preparation (10-20%)
*Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Team Development
*Supervise and coach Audit Trainees
*Contribute to technical knowledge sharing
What You’ll Need
Essential
*1-2 years’ audit experience in practice
*Currently studying ACA or ACCA
*Solid technical knowledge of audit methodology and FRS 102
*Experience preparing statutory accounts
*Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
*Proficiency in audit software (CCH preferred) and Excel
Desirable
*Exposure to Financial Services clients
*Knowledge of CASS regulations and FCA requirements
*Experience with IFRS and group audits
