Locum Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Team Are you a dedicated Qualified Social Worker passionate about making a genuine difference in children’s lives?
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join a Family Safeguarding Team within a forward thinking local authority in Lancashire. You’ll be part of a motivated, supportive team committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
The local authority has roles available in Rawtenstall, Pendle, Lancaster, Fleetwood, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Preston & Accrington.

The Role: As a Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding Team, you’ll work with families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Your role will involve:
*Assessing and supporting families to safeguard children and reduce risk
*Managing a mixed caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection work
*Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver joined-up, effective interventions
*Undertaking court work when required, with full support from your Practice Development and Team Managers
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
*1-3 years’ experience in a similar children’s social work setting
*The ability to manage a complex and varied caseload effectively
*A child-focused, relationship-based approach to practice
Sound understanding of safeguarding procedures, risk management, and statutory responsibilities
*A collaborative and resilient mindset, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team
