Job Description:
Handle Recruitment are proud to be partnering with one of the most successful and dynamic entertainment companies in the industry in their search for a Financial Accountant.
This is a newly created position, offering the opportunity to sit at the heart of a well-established and high-performing finance team. The position will play a central role in the group consolidation process, working across multiple business units including production, management, live, and creative.
The Role: Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of group reporting, compliance, and statutory processes, ensuring strong financial controls across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting, Controls & Compliance
*Preparation of annual Group consolidations
*Preparation of Group and subsidiary statutory accounts, including tax workings
*Filing dormant statutory accounts, compliance statements and related documentation
*Supporting preparation for the annual audit
*Overseeing group companies’ overhead costs and audit accruals
*Acting as the main point of contact for auditors for the management business
*Overseeing preparation of annual financial statements
Tax & Regulatory
*Posting corporation tax journals and reconciling tax balances
*Calculating quarterly corporation tax payments on account
*Preparing quarterly VAT returns
*Preparing information for third-party P11D preparation
*Filing annual PAYE Settlement Agreements
*Managing annual tax compliance work
Additional Responsibilities
*Ad hoc analysis, project work and financial reporting
*Supporting continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
About You
*Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in group consolidations and statutory reporting
*Experience liaising with auditors
*Happy to work in an office based role (5 days a week)
*Confident managing tax and compliance processes
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
*Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
