Production Manager

Join our dynamic team as a Production Manager at a rapidly desserts manufacturing and distribution company. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on, technical environment and is passionate about maintaining high standards in food production.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
*Actively work on the factory floor, supervising production staff and processes.
*Ensure finished products are correctly prepared, stored, and ready for distribution.
*Manage production planning using Sage, ensuring stock levels and production schedules are accurate.
*Monitor and record freezer and storage temperatures, ensuring full compliance at all times.
*Ensure all containers, equipment, and production areas are clean and maintained to required standards.
*Implement and maintain HACCP procedures and food safety controls.
*Support audits and inspections, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
*Use Salsa systems to manage compliance and quality documentation.
*Maintain production records, traceability, and batch documentation.
*Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, hygiene, and efficiency.
*Supervise and support production staff, fostering a positive and accountable working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in a food and drink manufacturing environment.
*Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance (HACCP experience essential).
*Hands-on, practical approach to production management.
*Comfortable working with systems such as Salsa and Sage (or similar production planning systems).
*Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality control.
*Experience in frozen or chilled food manufacturing is desirable.
*Supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous.
