Contract Type: Temporary/Locum
Rate: £50 - £65ph
*Private Client Lawyer requirement on a Locum basis.
*To start end Feb/early March 2026
*Covering a recruitment gap for circa 3 to 6 months (likely longer)
*Hybrid working essential, with at least one day per week on site
*Flexible working hours and market rate
Our client, a long standing high street law firm in Cornwall, is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor/Lawyer for a Locum position to cover a recruitment gap. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal professional to join a supportive team and contribute to providing expert legal advice and support to clients.
Position Overview
The Private Client Solicitor will handle a typical private client caseload, including wills, probates, LPAs, and general elderly client advice, ensuring clients navigate legal challenges effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
*Manage a caseload of wills, probates, and LPAs
*Provide general legal advice to elderly clients
*Ensure clear communication and transparency with clients
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
*Collaborate with the team to achieve the best outcomes
Requirements
*Fee earner with minimum 5 years’ PQE in Private Client matters (could be Solicitor or Legal Executive, or otherwise qualified by experience).
*Excellent communication and client-facing skills
*Available end Feb/early March 2026.
*Happy to work hybrid on site/remote.
