Finance / Accounts Assistant (Early Career / Graduate Level)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Competitive + Study Support

We are supporting a well-established Edinburgh-based organisation in the search for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic and growing finance team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering stability, responsibility, and the chance to be part of a supportive and collaborative finance function.
This role is particularly well suited to an early-career finance professional or recent graduate looking to gain broad exposure across purchase ledger, credit control, and general accounts support, while benefiting from hybrid working and AAT study support.
The Role The Accounts Assistant will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance department, with a strong emphasis on invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities include:
* Processing and reviewing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approvals
* Supporting purchase ledger and credit control activities, maintaining up-to-date records
* Assisting with reconciliations, payment runs, and routine month-end tasks
* Responding to finance queries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
* Providing general administrative support across the finance team
About You * Early-career finance professional or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role is desirable but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
* Comfortable managing structured, process-driven tasks
* Confident using Excel and finance systems
