Teacher of PE/Science - Amersham, Buckinghamshire
[Temp Contract]
Tradewind seeks an experienced and engaging Physical Education & Science Teacher for an Amersham, Buckinghamshire based Secondary School, with an immediate start [temporary contract].
This is a specialist combined role - The successful candidate must have proven experience and subject knowledge in both PE and Science, and be confident delivering across a range of year groups and abilities.
This is a key appointment to ensure continuity of learning, and we are seeking a professional who can step into the role quickly and make an immediate impact.
Teacher of PE/Science - Amersham, Buckinghamshire:
*Teach Physical Education and Games across Key Stages 3-5
*Teach Science, including Chemistry, across Key Stages 3 and 4
*Deliver a varied programme including practical PE, academic Science lessons, and sixth form Games
*Maintain high standards of teaching, behaviour management and student engagement
This role includes a mix of classroom-based Science teaching and practical PE delivery, requiring strong organisation, flexibility and energy.
Key Responsibilities *Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in both PE and Science
*Take full responsibility for planning, preparation and marking
*Assess, monitor and report on student progress
*Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet a range of learning needs
*Maintain high expectations for behaviour and participation
*Support GCSE classes, including examination preparation
*Contribute to the wider life of the PE and Science departments
*Provide general cover where required in free periods
Essential Requirements *Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience teaching both PE and Science
*Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science
*Experience delivering PE across KS3 and KS4, with confidence supporting KS5 Games
*Ability to manage a full teaching workload, including planning and marking commitments
*Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
*Ability to start immediately
*Fully Enhanced DBS Checked
