The Role:
As our Communications Officer, you will be the voice of our charity, bringing our mission to life through compelling content, creative campaigns, and powerful storytelling. Working within the Marketing Team, you’ll craft messages that engage hearts, inspire action, and strengthen our community of supporters. Your work will help us reach new audiences, build lasting relationships, and amplify the impact of our projects.
The Communications role supports the Executive Team and trustees through high-quality communications and reporting. This hybrid role blends strategic communication and strong administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and deliver engaging content for digital, print, and social media platforms
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote fundraising campaigns and events
*Engage in staff meetings - Draft talking points, meeting summaries, and internal updates
*Build relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders to boost our profile
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities
*Support the creation of marketing materials, press releases, newsletters, and reports
*Stay ahead of trends to ensure our communications are fresh, relevant, and impactful
*Create quarterly, in-depth reports for the Executive Team and trustees
About You:
*Exceptional attention to detail, professional judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and care
*You are confident with social media and digital communications tools
*You want your work to make a real difference in the world
*Previous experience in a communications, PR, or marketing role is desirable
*5-7 years of experience in executive reporting, support, and administrative coordination preferred
*Compassionate nature due to charities mission
