We’re working with a PE-backed infrastructure business to hire a new Financial Controller. Since the fund came on board, the business has doubled its EBITDA and continues to scale with confidence.
Reporting to a high-calibre Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the finance function as the company grows. It’s a great opportunity for someone with the ambition to become a future No.1 — offering real exposure, autonomy, and the chance to step up over time.
WISH LIST
*Strong background in financial control, audit, and reporting
*Confident leading a team and building relationships across the business
*Comfortable managing group consolidations and month-end processes
THE ROLE
*Lead and develop a finance team of 5 (3 direct, 2 indirect)
*Own the full month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
*Oversee AP, AR, and nominal ledger accuracy
*Prepare group consolidated accounts and financial statements
*Manage the external audit and year-end process
*Deliver cash flow forecasts and working capital management
*Own tax, VAT, CIS, and statutory reporting
*Drive budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
*Oversee finance systems, policies, and process improvement
*Present financial data to the Board alongside the Finance Director
*Support insurance renewals and reporting to external stakeholders
YOUR PROFILE
*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
*Effective communicator – written & verbal
*Good working knowledge of MS Excel
*1 - 2 + years’ post-qualified experience in a senior finance role
*Ambitious, with the drive to grow into a future No.1 role
