Job Description:
Health & Safety Manager
*Location: Kent
*Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: £45,000-£50,000pa
Reed HR have partnered with a fantastic company who are seeking a H&S Manager to act as the competent person and expert, enabling us to meet the requirements of health and safety law. This role is crucial in ensuring that safe systems of work are in place and that the expertise and profile of Occupational H&S is strengthened across all areas.
Main Responsibilities:
*Develop and enforce corporate Occupational H&S policies that comply with legal guidelines and best practices.
*Manage and analyse data related to occupational H&S, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents and accidents.
*Develop comprehensive health and safety strategies and plans.
*Provide expert advice on corporate H&S matters to managers and the Corporate Management Team.
*Develop and deliver training sessions on safety practices and emergency procedures.
*Ensure all staff understand their H&S responsibilities and carry them out effectively.
*Liaise with enforcing authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive and Environmental Health Officers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent degree/level 6 professional qualification.
*At least 3 years of experience in Occupational H&S roles such as H&S advisor, H&S officer, or safety coordinator.
*Extensive knowledge of H&S legislation, regulations, and standards.
*Skilled in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification.
*Experience in developing and delivering H&S training.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey safety policies and procedures effectively.
