Motor Vehicle Instructor
Location: Nantwich
Salary: £20+ per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
About the Role
Reed Further Education is recruiting a skilled and passionate Motor Vehicle Instructor to join a specialist engineering department in Nantwich. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced Motor Vehicle professional who enjoys developing the next generation of engineers through practical, workshop-based learning.
You’ll be delivering training in engines, diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and modern automotive technologies. Working within industry-standard facilities, including five-bay workshops equipped with diagnostic tools, you will support and guide learners up to Level 3 as they build their practical competence and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging and practical motor vehicle workshops
*Teach and support learners up to Level 3
*Supervise students during hands-on training and assessments
*Maintain workshop equipment to industry standards
*Contribute to the assessment process, ensuring learners meet required competencies
*Support an inclusive and safe learning environment
Requirements
*Level 3 qualification in a relevant Motor Vehicle subject
*Strong, up-to-date industry experience
*Confidence in delivering topics such as:
Engines and mechanical systems
Diagnostics and fault-finding
Electronics
Electric and hybrid vehicle technologies
*A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential support may be available for the right candidate
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
