International Category Manager
London | Hybrid Working
A high growth, international consumer food business is seeking an International Category Manager to take ownership of fresh produce sourcing across more than seven European markets.
This is a strategic and commercially critical role, sitting at the intersection of category strategy and operational execution. You will be responsible for shaping sourcing strategy, building a best in class supplier network, and driving cost optimisation, while maintaining exceptional quality and sustainability standards.
The business operates at pace, in a highly collaborative and data driven environment. This role would suit a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys influencing across markets and delivering measurable impact.
The Role
You will:
*Design and implement an international sourcing strategy aligned to global objectives
*Lead supplier selection, onboarding and strategic negotiations across multiple markets
*Build long term supplier partnerships focused on performance, quality and innovation
*Identify and deliver cost saving opportunities through scale, process improvement and market insight
*Champion procurement best practice and scalable frameworks across regions
*Define and track KPIs to support data driven decision making
*Engage and influence stakeholders across European markets to ensure successful implementation
About You
You will bring:
*3+ years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing or category management
*Experience within fresh food, fresh produce or FMCG environments is highly desirable
*Strong supplier negotiation skills with evidence of delivering commercial results
*Excellent analytical capability and the ability to turn insight into action
*Experience operating within fast paced, matrixed organisations
*Strong stakeholder management skills across functions and geographies
*Fluency in English. Additional European languages are advantageous
*Willingness to travel up to 20%
A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Agricultural Science or a related field is preferred.
