Head of Operations

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead and optimise our conference operations in West London. This pivotal role involves overseeing all operational aspects of conference delivery, ensuring seamless execution, and driving continuous improvement aligned with strategic objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead and manage the end-to-end operational delivery of conferences, ensuring all events meet quality, budgetary, and timeline targets.
*Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and standards that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
*Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Content, and Logistics to ensure cohesive event execution.
*Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure optimal terms and service levels.
*Oversee risk management and compliance to ensure all events adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
*Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
*Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics, producing reports and recommendations for senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role within the Utilities, Oil, Gas & Energy events or conference sector.
*Strong understanding of event management principles, operational workflows, and industry-specific challenges.
*Demonstrable ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
*Experience managing budgets, supplier negotiations, and contracts.
*Proficient in project management and event technology platforms.
*Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Event Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
