Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator (Brake Press)
Location: Dartford
Job Type: Permanent
Salary/Rate: Up to £40,000
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong Brake Press experience to join a well-established engineering company based in Dartford. This is a hands-on workshop role working with a variety of materials to produce high-quality fabricated components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
*Set up and operate Brake Press machinery (Amada/Bystronic/Trumpf or similar)
*Bend, form and shape sheet metal to engineering drawings
*Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
*Work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
*Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy and tolerances are met
*Assist with general fabrication duties when required
*Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator
*Strong Brake Press operating and setting experience
*Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
*Experience working to tight tolerances
*Good attention to detail and quality standards
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
