Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond promptly to incidents, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Officer will monitor premises through surveillance systems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
*Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
*Monitor CCTV systems and respond to alerts or incidents as necessary.
*Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard property and assets.
*Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations until professional help arrives.
*Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
*Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to report incidents or suspicious behaviour.
*Enforce facility rules and regulations while ensuring a respectful environment for all individuals on site.
Requirements
*Proven experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
*Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
*Familiarity with CCTV systems and their operation.
*Certification in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain certification if not already held is essential.
*Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
