Job Description:
An opportunity to join a highly regarded Projects team working on complex transactional, regulatory and commercial energy matters. This role offers excellent technical exposure, strong client contact and the chance to work as part of an expanding and well respected practice.

Our client is a long established City firm with offices across the UK and a strong reputation in projects, real estate and related practice areas. Recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers, the firm advises a broad client base including registered providers, private developers and investment funds, and has grown to over 350 people with a significant national presence.
Description
The Energy and Projects team sits within the wider Real Estate and Projects group and handles a wide variety of matters across the sector.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising on heat networks and Ofgem heat network regulations
* Advising on ESCO arrangements, energy supply agreements and customer supply agreements with a focus on risk allocation and regulatory compliance
* Advising on PV and renewable energy projects including leases, licences, concession arrangements, consents and long term asset management matters
* Advising on energy infrastructure projects including EV charging
* Supporting broader commercial contract work and PFI or PPP matters
* Managing matters day to day, drafting clear advice and maintaining client relationships
* Interacting directly with clients, understanding deadlines and supporting fee earners with enquiries
* Contributing to business development and marketing activity
* Ensuring files meet LEXCEL and SRA standards and following internal procedures and policies
Profile
2 to 6 years PQE in energy or projects work, with PFI or PPP experience welcomed
* Strong drafting skills and excellent written and verbal communication
* Ability to manage a demanding workload with strong attention to detail
* Commercial awareness with the ability to convey information clearly to clients and external stakeholders
* Flexible and organised approach to meeting client deadlines
* Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 degree or above
* Empathy with clients in the social housing or not for profit sector is helpful
* Familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook and internet applications
