STEM Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Facilities Engineer to join our client based in Glasgow. This role is a temporary position for 12 months. In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our client’s facility and ensuring optimal operational efficiency through planned and reactive maintenance as and when required. There is scope for this role to become a permanent position within the company.


As a Facilities Engineer, you will be required to:
*Fault find and repair building services and equipment – this can be anything from equipment in the production area, to faulty plumbing or groundskeeping
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
*Handle maintenance requests as and when they come in through the work order systems – document these tasks accurately on the system
*Complete risk assessments prior to any maintenance in adherence to Health and Safety procedures
*Work with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimise effect on operations
*Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department and site
*Perform daily plant and utility checks


Qualifications and Experience
*Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree) in a relevant discipline
*Open to junior or graduate-level candidates with limited hands-on experience, provided they have a strong engineering education background
*Willingness to learn
*Exposure to maintenance systems, facilities, or process equipment would be beneficial but not essential


Shift Pattern:
*Monday – Friday
*08:00am – 16:00pm


Salary:
*Starting from £17.00 per hour depending on experience
