Transport Customer Support Coordinator
Full time, permanent
We are looking to recruit a new member to join our busy team in Ipswich. The successful applicant will work as a member of a small team, monitoring haulage performance for export collections and Import deliveries. The appointed will also deal with non-conformances, customer queries and general quality issues with regards to the transport system.
How you will help us and what you can expect
*Work to agreed KPI’s with haulage to measure haulage performance (in particular relating to VIP Customers)
*Act as a link between commercial/haulage team to improve service
*Act upon feedback from commercial team and put systems in place for monitoring
*Always endeavour to help colleagues import/export whenever possible
*Ensure daily tasks given, e.g. re bookings are up to date and have set procedures for daily/weekly tasks
*Ensure by end of each week that charges are all up to date, re bookings and detentions are looked at on a daily basis
*Assist other colleagues/teams as and when required
*Meet agreed deadlines and follow up action where needed
Skills and experience you’ll bring to us
*Must have previous office experience, with ability to communicate at all levels with both haulier and customer
*Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
*Excellent telephone skills
*Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills. Knowledge of Excel & Word
*Ability to maintain a high level of customer service under pressure
*A flexible approach and ’can do’ attitude is essential
*Compliance with MSC’s email etiquette
*Excellent communication and teamwork
