Job Description:
Job Title: Assembly Operative – Manufacturing / Engineering
Location: Letchworth
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours)
Assembly Operative We are recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Letchworth. This is a permanent, full-time role within a modern production environment offering stability and progression.
This position would suit someone with previous manufacturing, production or assembly experience who is looking for a new challenge in a unique sector.
Key Responsibilities * Mechanical assembly of components to specification
* Cutting and assembling parts using hand tools
* Working from technical drawings and written instructions
* Meeting production schedules and daily targets
* Completing production paperwork and quality records
* Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
* Maintaining high quality standards
* Adhering to Health & Safety procedures
Experience Required * Previous experience as an Assembly Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Automotive Assembler
* Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
* Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment
* Good attention to detail
* Reliable and able to work to deadlines
* Comfortable with manual handling
