Job Description:
This is a hands-on, standalone bookkeeping position within a successful SME. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day finance activities, ensuring everything runs efficiently and supporting a team that truly values what you do.
The role can be shaped around you — whether you’re looking for full-time stability or a flexible part-time position, both options are available.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for a wide range of finance duties, including:
*Full all-round bookkeeping
*Preparing and handing over paperwork to the external accountant
*Managing payroll for a team of circa 15
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Invoicing and sales ledger management
*Order processing and supporting the wider business with finance queries
What We’re Looking For
*Solid bookkeeping experience (SME environment desirable)
*Confident with payroll and VAT processes
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
*A proactive, down-to-earth team player
*Experience with accounting software (any system welcome)
