Job Description:
Payroll and Accounts Officer, Harrogate, £27-28,500
*Annual Salary: £27-28,500
*Location: Harrogate
*Job Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Our client is seeking a dedicated Payroll and Accounts Officer to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes and accounts management, adhering to statutory regulations and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage monthly payments
*Administer statutory pay schemes such as SSP, SMP and SPP and provide staff with relevant advice
*Ensure accurate monthly RTI submissions and conduct payroll reconciliations
*Maintain manual and computerised payroll records with high accuracy.
*Administration of benefits schemes and liaise with external agencies
*Assist with payroll or pensions related audits and keep updated with related legislation
*Provide support in various accounting tasks such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Payroll experience is essential
*Strong IT Skills
*Dealing with pension schemes, tax codes etc
*Strong administration skills
*Effective communicator
*Ability to work to tight deadlines
Benefits:
*35 Hour working week, 9-5 with a hour lunch
