Job Title: Corporate Commercial Account Executive
Salary: £85,000 per annum +
Location: Birmingham
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes are working with a well-established broker in their search for an experienced Account Executive to join their commercial team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a substantial portfolio of clients while driving new business opportunities and contributing to the team’s continued growth.
You will provide exceptional client service by managing and growing a diverse commercial portfolio, building strong relationships, and delivering effective risk and protection solutions.
The role requires presence in Birmingham at least once a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Manage a portfolio of clients, overseeing renewals, adjustments and day-to-day servicing
*Identify opportunities for growth, both within existing accounts and through new business development and cross-selling
*Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
*Support and contribute to a collaborative team environment
*Work effectively with a team of Account Handlers and maintain regular communication with them
DAY-TO-DAY
*Meeting with clients across the Northwest area
*Handling client queries and providing timely, professional advice
*Preparing and presenting renewal terms and recommendations
*Monitoring market developments to ensure clients receive the most suitable solutions
*Supporting junior colleagues and sharing technical knowledge
SKILLS
*Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
*Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
*Competence with industry systems (Acturis experience advantageous but not essential)
