Child Care Solicitor – Huddersfield

The Role
This position involves representing adoption carers - including grandparents, aunts, uncles and extended family members - in care proceedings. You will provide advice and representation in matters involving:
*Special Guardianship Orders
*Support plans and allowances
*Care proceedings
The caseload is both meaningful and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families. The firm offers flexibility in how you structure your working hours, helping you achieve a healthy balance alongside a fulfilling legal career.
Due to continued growth, this Legal 500-recognised firm is expanding its Child Care team. Hybrid and part-time working options are available.
About You
*Ideally 1+ year PQE, although applications from all experience levels will be considered
*Strong knowledge of child care law, particularly care proceedings and special guardianship matters
*Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, client-focused approach
*Experience with legal aid eligibility and/or billing for legally aided matters
*Confident undertaking advocacy or keen to further develop advocacy skills
*A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment
