Bookkeeper
Part time
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 pro rata
Central London
Hybrid working – 1 day in the office, 2 days from home (3 days per week)
A leading, award-winning events company based in Central London are recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper to join their supportive and welcoming team on a permanent part-time basis (equivalent to three days per week).

As the business continues to expand, they are seeking a confident and experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function.
The company offers hybrid working (one day per week in their vibrant Central London office) with flexibility around working days. There is also the opportunity to increase hours as the business continues to grow.
Working within a small but highly professional team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on bookkeeper who enjoys variety, autonomy and being part of a growing business.
Reporting into senior management, you will take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
*Maintain books and records using QuickBooks Online
*Download and process cash and PayPal payments/receipts into QuickBooks
*Reconcile bank and PayPal control accounts
*Post customer cash receipts, review aged debtors and liaise with management regarding credit control
*Post purchase invoices and manage supplier payments
*Post sales invoices raised in Giggio (event management software) into QuickBooks
*Maintain a deferred revenue schedule for events invoiced in advance and calculate the monthly revenue release
*Reconcile the deferred revenue account monthly
*Prepare monthly prepayments and accruals
*Process monthly payroll using QuickBooks Online
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Support with ad hoc finance tasks as required within a growing SME environment
*Preparation of monthly management accounts
Skills and Experience Required:
*Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within an SME or similar environment
*Experience producing monthly management accounts
*Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
*Confident user of Microsoft Excel (including working with CSV files and data uploads)
*Experience managing deferred revenue and revenue recognition processes
*Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
*Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
*Proactive, hands-on approach with a positive and collaborative attitude
