Job Description:
A global investment manager with a strong presence in London is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its expanding regulatory team. This is a newly created position offering direct exposure to senior leadership and regular collaboration with investment, operations, and technical teams.
The firm operates within a fast paced, analytically minded environment, and is looking for someone who is technically strong, detail oriented, and capable of managing critical regulatory reporting processes with confidence, and can manage large data sets
Essential experience:
*Proven, hands-on involvement in IFPR submissions
*Strong working knowledge of FCA RegData and Connect
*Practical exposure to UK/EU regulatory reporting obligations (e.g., EMIR, SFTR, MiFIR/MiFID II)
*Solid grounding in compliance operations, governance and control frameworks
*Demonstrable stability in prior roles
Preferred background:
*Experience supporting senior executives such as CFO/CRO or equivalent
*Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., EU or other European regimes)
*Ability to partner effectively with a diverse set of teams including trading, quant/data, modelling, finance and operations
*A mature, steady approach — someone able to balance hands-on tasks with broader strategic thinking
Key responsibilities
This position provides a blend of operational and strategic compliance work, including:
*Managing regulatory reporting cycles across IFPR, RegData, Connect and relevant European regimes
*Ensuring timely and accurate UK/EU submissions
*Assisting with investigations, breach reviews and remediation steps
*Maintaining compliance registers, calendars, certifications and internal records
*Supporting KYC/AML onboarding processes
*Contributing to EMIR/SFTR/MiFID II reporting workflows
*Working closely with data-focused teams to improve reporting quality and underlying processes
Why this role?
You’ll be joining a highly collaborative team that works closely with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, data specialists, and senior decision-makers.
This is an opportunity to step into a visible, impactful position as the firm continues to scale its regulatory capabilities
Package

*Annual bonus
*Equity participation available
