Job Description:
An established and growing accountancy practice in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with small and medium-sized businesses, building long-term client relationships, and managing a varied portfolio.
The RoleYou will manage your own portfolio of clients across a range of industries, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted adviser.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Completing VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns
*Managing client relationships and responding to business and tax queries
*Providing guidance on accounting software and general compliance matters
*Ensuring deadlines and regulatory requirements are consistently met
*Supporting the wider team to maintain smooth workflow and high service standards
This is a hands-on role offering autonomy and variety within a close-knit practice environment.
About YouWe are looking for someone who is:
*AAT qualified, ACCA qualified/part-qualified, or qualified by experience
*Experienced within a UK accountancy practice (minimum 4 years)
*Confident managing their own client portfolio
*Skilled in accounts preparation and self-assessment tax returns
*Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
*Comfortable working in an office-based role
*Enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team
