EN Teaching Assistant (SENTA) – Yew Tree Primary Academy
Employer: The Supply Register
Location: Halewood
Contract Type: Temporary / Supply (with potential for long-term roles)
The Supply Register is working in partnership with Yew Tree Primary Academy, part of the Wade Deacon Trust, to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SENTA). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs in a friendly and inclusive primary school environment.
The Role*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
*Assist pupils with learning tasks, behaviour, and emotional development
*Support the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
*Monitor and report on pupil progress and development
*Work closely with class teachers, SENCo, and wider school staff to create a supportive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For*Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs
*Strong interpersonal skills and patience
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
*Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to supporting learning
QualificationsEssential
*GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
*Experience supporting children in a classroom or learning environment
*Willingness to complete safeguarding and school-based training
Desirable
*Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*Experience with interventions or SEN programmes
*First Aid qualification
