Role Purpose As the primary Subject Matter Expert for Google Workspace and Slack Enterprise, you will sit at the intersection of technology architecture and programme delivery.You will guide Barclays through a large-scale modernization of its collaboration tools, ensuring the platforms are secure, compliant with financial regulations, and seamlessly integrated into the bank’s core ecosystem.
Key Accountabilities1. Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership * Serve as the go-to authority for Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Shared Drives, IAM) and Slack (Enterprise Grid).

* Define the future-state collaboration architecture aligned with Barclays’ enterprise standards and transformation goals.

* Provide technical direction on platform assessments, coexistence strategies, and operational design.

2. Integration & Migration Design * Define integration patterns between Slack/Google and core Barclays systems (e.g., Identity Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and monitoring tools).

* Guide the technical configuration of Slack Enterprise Grid, including workspace strategy and Enterprise Key Management (EKM).

* Lead "carve-out" and separation scenarios, ensuring data residency and compliance during migrations.

3. Governance, Security & Risk * Ensure all collaboration solutions meet strict Barclays security, regulatory, and audit requirements.

* Represent the programme at Architectural Review Boards and governance forums to provide design assurance.

* Identify platform risks early (e.g., data leakage, unauthorized access) and propose mitigation strategies.

4. Stakeholder & Programme Delivery * Act as the technical bridge between Enterprise Architecture, CISO (Chief Information Security Office), and third-party vendors.

* Lead discovery workshops with business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable technical requirements.

* Support delivery leads in sequencing activities on the broader transformation roadmap.
